    Hi,

I’m having a bit of trouble trying to chroma-keying just one specific color in Sony Vegas Pro 10.
The video is an simple animation made in Flash and I want the color pure green (RGB 0,255,0) to be transparent. I’m using the chroma keyer effect of Vegas but I’m unable to just “delete” said color. The best results so far is setting the color to RGB 0,255,0 , the low threshold to 0 and the high threshold to 0,001. But even like this the effect removes other greens (like a dark green) and messes some of the cyans too.

What can I do to just “delete” the pure green color? Maybe I’m not using to correct effect for this?

Yea, the Chroma Keyer is not the best plug-in for this kind of accuracy. It works on a range of color because most green screens would never be a single pure color.

You want to use the Color Corrector (Secondary) for this task. Just take the eye dropper labeled Select effected range and sample the green you want to key out. Then push the Alpha slider all the way to zero (0.000) and the pure green should become completely transparent and not affect the other greens around it.
