1st Boris did contact me. Boris FX will not run on 64bit OS. But the New Blue is working fine.
But I have another question.
When I use Newblue Chroma Key in Vegas and have the talent on one track and the backgraound Set on another track. Is there any way to link the tracks so that if I do a motion zoom in on the talent the back ground comes with it at the same ratio or proportion?Don

Actually, it runs fine on a 64bit OS. It just doesn’t work with a 64-bit host. You need to use Vegas Pro 32-bit like I do.

Yea, you have to Parent the two tracks to a third track above them and then use Parent Motion (not Track Motion) to move them in unison. The Parent Motion button will only show up AFTER you have the tracks parented.

August 29, 2010 at 8:05 pmI would only use the Chromakey in Vegas to key a graphics logo for a corner bug or logo with a trasparent alpha channel, I use Ultra for shots with the subject in the final video only once and don’t need shadows. It does have shadows but their not that great. I will use Keylight in AE for full body shots with shadows as it has virtual lights and cameras and can make the most convincing keys with shadows that I have found. I just wanted to show Vegas can key with perfect lighting.

Due to my lack of knowlege. I understood the host system to be my OS! Thank You for correction. Is there any disadvantage to uninstalling my Vegas Pro 9 64 Bit and going to Vegas 9 Pro 32 Bit? any effect on my previous made projects? So that I may run Boris FX.
Is there any disadvantage in the use of my Ram or render time in the 32 bit? Do they both run as effeciently?
Last question (I hope) if it is a green light to go to the 32 bit do I just uninstall it 64 Vegas and reinstall the 32 bit Vegas?
Thank U

There is no reason to uninstall the 64-bit version. Just install the 32-bit version and you can open projects in either as long as you have the same plug-ins.

There isn’t a big difference. Some things render a bit faster in the 64-bit version.

Nope. Just install the 32-bit version keep on going. Both versions coexist happily in the same PC. They can even be at different levels (i.e., 64-bit at Vegas Pro 9.0e and 32-bit at 9.0c if you need to do that for some reason)

August 30, 2010 at 8:54 pmIs there any tutorials for Boris FX in Vegas Pro 9 for someone who has never been in Boris (ever)! All I find has the MAC inerface so none of the controls on my trial version match anything I have found online. I hope the product is better than their tutorials!
