    hey there fellas… ok now i am an amature at video fx… but here’s what i wanna do… using a normal 16mm or 35mm film camera.. i want to shoot a sequence on a Green/Blue background… and i am hoping that once i get the footage..into after effects.. or premiere , i can use the chroma key and replace the green with some background… i hope i am thinking right??? any suggestions or pointers to help me learn more about this would be really great.. thanks guys… u ppl rock!!!

    You have the basics right. One critical thing to consider in shotting on blue or greenscreen is to add some backlight between your subject and the screen. This will minimize shadows that will otherwise make your keying look fake.

    Also, make sure your screen is as flat and motionless as possible, and try to avoid having any seams in the frame if you are using an actual fabric screen.
