    You can light your subject in any look you desire, however a rim or back light can help you key out the back ground later. The biggest mistake you can make is to over light the green screen and have that light bouncing back onto your subject as this will make it very difficult to key, so separate the subject far enough away from the green screen and control the light level on the green screen to a stop below the subjects key light and you should be good.
