Chroma Key in FC Xpress
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to pull a blue or greenscreen key in FC Express?
I’m setting up a laptop for our camera crew, that they can use on-set as a video assist. I was planning on installing FC express. A good way to save some bucks, since they are only going to use recording and simple editing. But it would be nice to be able to roughly check a scene that has to be keyed in post.
I can’t find an ‘available effects comparison list’ between FCP and FC express on the Apple site, or am I just looking in the wrong place

Apply 4.1.1 Color Smoothing and then use the Chroma Keyer filter. Not the greatest keyer in the world, but if it’s well lit you should be able to get something useful. Or get DV Matte Pro https://www.dvgarage.com/prod/prod.php?prod=dvmattefcp
