After much searching, I can’t find the thread about this, so please forgive this old question:

Sudden job: I am using an HDV camera Thursday afternoon to shoot chroma key. There was a thread on the COW where one of the more knowledgeable DP’s gave his formula for the Detail Setting when shooting chroma-key. I’d appreciate your insights as to the best way to set up an HDV camera (Sony Z1).

Final output is SD, but shouldn’t I use HDV as opposed to DV/DVCAM? Just makes sense to me, but I read somewhere that HDV is not as good as DV for chroma-keying, so maybe I’m missing something.

    Thanks!
