  choppy playback

  I’m trying to streamline the workflow of download->check footage->erase SD card.

  I used ShotPut Pro to download to an external firewire (FW800) drive, then checked the footage. The camera moves (tilt-downs) looked very choppy, both in Quicktime and when imported to FCP7.

  The video is fine – I made a ProRes movie in FCP7 and the tilt-downs are smooth. But is there a quicker way for me to verify the footage?
