I’m using Apple’s compressor to export mpeg-2, and the video looks like the odd and even fields are reversed. I’ve tried changing field dominance and video frame controls, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions.

    Specifics

    Mpeg-2 6.2 mbps max 7.7, 2 pass vbr best
field dominance progressive, top, bottom (all look the same)

    What is your source?

    Are you resizing?

    Just to be clear:

Are you certain the source is interlaced?

Are you wanting to deliver an interlaced or progressive output? (Or are you not concerned as long as it looks OK?)

If progressive have you applied any deinterlacing?

Any chance of posting a screenshot of the ‘effect’ somewhere?
