Activity Forums Compression Techniques Choice A or Choice B

    I’m an editor, looking to hold review sessions on rough cuts with a producer in another state (no, not mentally). Heard of someone doing Choice B here – sounds complex, yet interesting. What are all your thoughts?

    What’s more efficient:
    A.) Compressing video and sending it over something like YouSendIt.com
    B.) Setting up a webcam pointed at the TV monitor. (Or, rigging the edit system’s output to replace the webcam’s signal.)

    Looking for efficiency of time here, not quality. These are just rough cuts. Option B might be cool because I could talk to him/her during the screening process (Producer says “Hey, go back to that interview for a second”…)
