chisled text in AE
I need to make text look like it is ‘set’ into 2 stone tablets, think ten commandments.
I have tried quite a few different ways but nothing is really looking like its deep into it.
any suggestions would be appreciated thanks guys, I will keep working on it also -

Another possible solution that will carry your textures through would be to pre-comp your text and apply CC Glass to your “stone”. This by playing with the settings, you will be able to get a desired effect and should be able to make it as chiseled as you desire. Andrew Kramar did a tutorial that similar recently, #65 on AE Bumpmaps, recently… Hope that may help in some way!

Thanks David, Thats actually what I ended up using and it looked pretty good, but in the end we decided to go a different direction with the design, but now i know how to do it so that in the future I wont have a problem or if someone else needs help with it
