Chinese Characters and Titling –
Good morning.
I would like to do some titling in Chinese for one of my clients. However, when I try and select the Chinese font – I don’t get the Chinese characters. Working in Chinese in new for me – so do I have to do anything special for FCP to recognize these characters?

Don’t know about the Chines, but I’m unable to use Lao fonts in FC.
I make the titles in Illustrator and bring them later to Photoshop/FC.

Which version of FCP?
A number of the Hiragino fonts in FCP7 display Chinese, from basic to more elaborate fonts. Here is a screen shot of a movie with the title “sample text” translated using Google Translate to “示例文本” and inserted as text. The font I chose was Hiragino Mincho ProN.
