We’ve been having an ongoing problem here with some of our graphics. When our designers are animating text, we get chewed up edges on the letters. It’s mostly seen on scale ups or downs and on high contrasting areas. I know it’s the interlacing we’re seeing and I know there are certain postion and speed values that cause conflicts with field rendering (text rolls and such). But it just seems like I’m seeing alot of this lately and outside of blurring the text, I don’t have an easy answer to tell our designers how to fix it. Comps are 720×486 non-square lower field first and are rendered out in animation codec. Then I import them the same way into our Media Composer. Anyone have any insight into this?

Try a different Codec. Similar problems here, even using Video (surprizingly) worked better.
