  • Checking out a used FS100

Need to test out a used FS100 (arriving in a couple of days) before the trial period is over. I’ll rent a new one and compare the two. Any suggestions about what to check for? Any thoughts about what might be a common vulnerability? My own thoughts are below:

    1) resolution/backfocus
    2) autofocus accuracy and speed (with kit lens from test camera – waiting for the power zoom version for myself)
    3) 4:2:2 out image quality and gradability
    4) custom gamma profiles
    5) low-light performance
    6) Autoexposure accuracy
    7) In-camera manual metering/exposure setting with third-party lenses (adapting it to a set of leica-R lenses)
    8) dead pixels
    9) uniform sensitivity across sensor
    10)uniform contrast across viewfinder
    11) condition of handle attachment screw
    12) codec gradability

The method of testing in most cases seems like a straightforward comparison of image, but any tips anyone feels necessary in that regard would be appreciated. (I suppose there’s no guarantee that a rented FS100 is in optimal condition, come to think of it…)

    thankyou
    David
