Check YouTube settings – screen shot
Ok, for a while we’ve been using FCPX through compressor settings for encoding 1920 x 1080 XDCAM footage for YouTube.
Until YouTube started advising us during the upload that we should prepare our videos for video streaming. I presumed this mean ‘fast start’, so we’ve experimented with these settings now (also changing Key Frames to automatic from 24 set previously).
Just wondered what the advice was here?
Trailing two set-ups, both as pictured here and rendered out H.264, but one in a MP4 wrapper and one in a MOV wrapper.
Anything higher than ‘medium-high’ seems to take an absolute age to render and upload, so opted for that setting. Happy for advice!
