Looks cool, but also looks like a high priced external enclosure. I wish they had one as a case with a power supply that we could configure as we like.
Could work for some however.

That’s what I thought when I saw it and looked at the price. It’s a very elegant solution for those who want something like this but they will be paying a very strong premium for the privilege.
Nice solution for those who think of their computer like some people think of cars and buy Ferraris, etc.

Woooo, I like the title. Sort of like “Sir Galahad” or “Sir Robin.” “The Good Mr. Biscardi.” Now fetch me a Strawberry!
Honestly, didn’t really see any reason to run out and by it nor any “wow” factor to it. Yeah, it looks cool, but my current Medea FCR2X has a very cool light show and I prefer external storage solutions to internal. G-Tech does a nice job of emulating the G5 look and they have the G-Speed coming soon which really looked impressive at NAB. Of course Ciprico (formerly Huge) really has a nice look to their storage as well.
The biggest “wow” I’ve seen in a while is SyncVue which I’m really excited about getting here in the shop sometime soon, but that’s for another day.

I have to agree, the syncVUE system is very impressive. It’s not as impressive or full-featured as the AlienBrain technology that AVID acquired and turned into their new InterPlay system but syncVUE doesn’t cost what InterPlay does, either.
InterPlay is definitely the monster in the field but syncVUE is a strong number two contender from all I have seen so far.
Want to review syncVUE for the next issue, Walter? ;o)
