check the difference between 2 sequences in Source/Record monitors
Hallo! I would be very grateful if someone tells me how can I check the difference between 2 sequences in Source/Record monitors. I have 2 sequences, which are almost same. I have to look for the difference. I have first sequence in source monitor, second sequence in Record monitors. What should i do, that both monitors running in parallel?

Hmmm….well, you can GANG them (there is a button there by default, on the SOURCE side). But both cannot play back in real time. You play one, it plays, but when it stops, the other side refreshes. So not QUITE what you need…

I gang them together as Shane mentioned, but then I just use the “go to next edit” button and go through it quickly. You could always cut one sequence on the upper track of the other sequence, and compare the same way or put a wipe and play it back.

A third option that has been used for decades in the film world, is comparing the two sequences with FilmScribe (or the List Tool in 8.3) using a Change List that compares two sequences and reports on changes from OLD to NEW.
