  • Check expresion for errors after changing it without AE error-alert using script-UI?

Hi! I’m trying to create a script to more easy change the expressions for my layers but one problem I have is if I break and expression, the AE error comes up and I have to press many OKs and after that I have to reverse everything.
I’m looking for a way, much like pt_ExpressEdit 2 does, to show the error inside the script instead of making AE alert it to me and with that way I’ll be quicker in my expression-chainging.

Does anyone know how this is done? Thanks!

This will be much easier with the improved expression error handling in the version coming out in a few weeks.

That’s exciting, Todd! Any other enhancements coming to expressions? 😉
