    Hi all,

Is there any good software that runs on Mac and allows me to metatag my stock materials? Preferrably one that handles video spread over several HDs in a sensible manner (eg auto detect format, length, resolution etc), and hopefully some other things?

I’m hoping to find someting that is under $150 – I know FInal Cut Server would probably do all of this and more very nicely, but that’s way too expensive for now.

    Any help appreciated!

None that I know of that meet your possibly unreasonable expectations. Hit version tracker and start looking, you might stumble onto something obscurely useful.

I use Canto Cumulus for digital asset management and would I would never recommend getting into DAM to anyone unless they absolutely know what they need and how they expect to get return on the incredible amount of energy required to install, design, and manage DAM catalogs.

If cheap is all you want, FileMakerPro is your engine. Lots of third party providers for metadata and media management systems.
