    Avid Xpress Pro 4.6
    G5 Quad 4GB Ram
    10.4.8

I’m looking for the cheapest available option for displaying my work on an NTSC monitor / TV set while working on an offline Avid Xpress project.

So far, it seems the best option is to get a cheap mini DV camera and use firewire to composite out to the TV. (Not looking for component quality just yet – only convenience)

Am I right in thinking this is the cheapest option? Or is there something else out there?

    THANKS for any input.

a canopus DV to NTSC decoder is the cheapest way to do this. This will cost a fraction of what a DV camera will cost.
