Character Animation – Walking forward, Scaling and Positioning multiple layers
I am new to After Effects with less than a week experience and really need some advice on a particular animation that I am working on now. I am creating a character animation, to be specific a fashion model walking forward down the ramp. I want the character to appear smaller (50% size) at far in the artboard and walk forward along a path to a full 100% size. I am on AE 17.1.2 and using DUIK Bassel to control the character movements. I have the character broken into multiple Shape Layers (structures) and hence finding it difficult to scale & position the 100% sized character to 50% smaller at the start of animation.
I can manage the walk cycle and the path, however would really appreciate some help on how to scale and position the multiple layers.
*I have tried the Null Layer option but this doesn’t work, as linking the layers to a null layer will disable the parent linking to DUIK Controllers.Thank you very much!
