  • Chapter Markers When Burning Straight From Timeline?

I just upgraded to 2 and have ran into a real annoying problem. I do a lot of corps in my 9 to 5 so I need to be able to just burn off a DVD from the timeline that has chapters for the cilents to flick through, rather than bringing the file into Encore.

This was no problem in 1.5 but I cant figure out why it wont work in 2. I know about the scene markers that have been added to this version, I’ve read the entire users guide, I’ve searched the net, asked all the editors I know and e-mailed Adobe and still I can not find out a reason??? What the worse thing is when I preview the DVD build ( in DVD layout) the markers are working fine but when I burn the disc theres no sign of the chapters.

I have tried three different DVD burners to no avail. I just keep remebering how easy it was in 1.5: file/export/to DVD, click a box, set your settings and burn.

Somebody out there must know the problem?

    Please Help

Are you wanting blind chapter markers (not on the menu) that the client can hit the Next button on his remote to jump to the next chapter?
OR are the links from the menu to the scene markers not working when played on a stand alone DVD player?

i think I am having the same issue! I dont want a menu but have DVD scene markers spread out over my timeline. When I preview it in Premiere it alows me to skip back and forth. But once burned or written to an ISO image, the scenes are no longer avail to skip back and forth. Its like the skip chapter buttons have been disabled. If I create a DVD menu, they work. I just found this on adobe’s site:

    This ticks me off.

Thanks for the link from Adobe!

I’m also creating a lot of movies with just chapter points and no menus.

But what a crap to find this in 2.0. This worked perfectly in Premiere Pro 1.5. And Adobe haven
