I have created a timeline in Premiere with Encore chapter markers, then sent to Encore CS4 via dynamic link. The chapter markers do not appear. This usually works fine. I have tried deleting the encore project and starting again but no joy.

I have read other posts with similar issues but their suggestions haven’t worked. I am beginning to think CS4 has a lot of issues that need fixing. My old CS2 was very reliable but Encore CS4 (Mac version) crashes a lot on my new Mac Pro.

I just created a new sequence in the same Premiere project and placed a few chapter markers, then sent this to Encore. The markers appear! huh?

What is wrong with the original sequence?

Did you give each chapter marker a name in the original sequence?

Are you sure you used Encore Chapter Markers and not ordinary Sequence Markers in the original sequence?

Yes I have names on all chapter markers, and yes, they are all Encore markers.

I have the same problem with another project with over 20 chapters. I just tried exporting a short segment as an MPEG2 file to see if the chapter data works that way, but no luck.

Try your MPEG2-DVD export again with the following settings:

Thanks Jeff. Both of those settings were selected already.

Is there a prefs file or two I can delete to see if that helps?

Thanks Jeff. I went to the path user/documents/Adobe etc but there is no folder for Encore in there.

    Cheers.

Unfortunately, I can’t help you find where files are on a Mac. I’m on a PC.

Same Problem! If I only put a couple chapter markers it works. I have about 30 on the one sequence and it only shows one when I import into encore.

the only way I get it to work is to create a new sequence and copy and paste the entire timeline and then recreate the chapter marks. Works every time, but it is very frustrating.

    Any fixex yet?

    Thanks,
