Changing the color of the cast shadow in AE CS6
Hello,
I am trying to change the color of the cast shadow of my 3D text to match the shadows in the footage. The goal is to add a blue tone to the shadow. I’ve uploaded a picture to show what I mean.
Been trying to pre comp and duplicating the layer but those methods don’t seem to work. Either that or I’m missing an important step. Thanks in advance for the help!

You’ll need to start by duplicating your text layer. Set your old text layer’s Casts Shadows property to “Off.” Set the new text layer’s Casts Shadows to “Only” and the Light Transmission to 100%. The last step is to adjust the duplicate text layer’s text color to try and match the shadows in your footage.
