  • Changing the beginning vertex of a mask…

I’ve imported a mask from Illustrator and need to change the “beginning” point for a stroke. There’s a way to do this, no?

With the Selection Toll (V), select the vertex you want to become the first vertex, by clicking on it or drawing a little marquee around it. It’s selected when it beocomes a solid square and the little handles appear. Right click and choose “Set First Vertex”.
    Fini.

Right click on a Mac…you mean Control click for me, perhaps? Ah yes, that’s it. I was missing selecting just the single point. Many Thanks!

In your comp view options, make sure show masks is checked, select the point you want in the comp window and go to menu selection Layer>Mask>Set First Vertex (it’ll be grayed out if you’ve selected more than one point at a time). If you’re on a Mac, the process is pretty much the same, but I don’t recall the details since I’m on a PC at the moment.
