  • Changing spot color to process when exporting as eps

I am having problems with InDesign changing spot colors to process when I export the document as an EPS. Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere? I’ve done tests in version 5, 4 and 3 and they all seem to do it. I’m used to working in Illustrator, so I may be missing a simple setting. Anyone have any tips?

A spot color should hold when exported to eps.

I wonder if the swatch is not a spot in Indy. To check, open Window>OutPut>Separations Preview. In the palette that appears, click on view: “separations”. Do you only see CMYK “eyeballs”?
