    Hi
I’ve been trying to change the speed of my clips as i usually do it (command-j) and change either the speed percentage or the duration of the clip, but it changes the speed but without changing the duration, usally it would make the clip twice as long if a apply a 50% speed or half as long if i apply 200%, now is applying the speed but the clip remains the same lenght, that means if i slow the clip down i loose part of it, and it wont let me change the speed by changing the duration of the clip, by the way im working on final cut pro 7, someone could help me please?

In the speed options menu you have Ripple Sequence checked.
