Working on a project. I logged the whole tape and then realized that in many instances I did not want the audio. Is there anyway to change the log so as to not have the audio captured when I batch?

Select all the clips you want to remove the audio log on, right click (or whatever the equivalent is if you’re on a Mac), and select Modify. From there you can go to Set Tracks and deselect the Audio tracks. If it doesn’t allow you to, you’ll need to unlink the clips first.

To Unlink, hold Ctrl + Shift (search Help if you’re on a Mac–I don’t know the Mac shortcuts) and go to Bin–>Unlink (I think it’s under Bin. I’m on an old Xpress Meridien and some stuff has been moved. It might be under Clip). Once unlinked you can modify your clips and batch capture without the audio tracks!

though you can make changes using modify exporting the bin as an ale and pulling in to xl can be useful for many global changes, find replace etc can be real(reel?) winners for changing/prefixing reel numbers etc etc
