changing serial number in FCP5
I bought two copies of FCP5 and accidently used the same serial number when installing them on two different machines. Is there a way to switch the serial number without reinstalling? I have tried to uninstall final cut and then reinstall, but it keeps reverting back to the old serial number.

Did you find out how to fix this? I just ran into this problem. I thought that deleting the package files would fix the problem.

Go to /Library/Application Support/Pro Apps and trash the Final Cut Pro or Studio System ID. You’ll be asked for a new serial number when you next launch the application.
