Can I somehow change the sequence length? I would like to shorten it because the actual clips take less space than the sequence total length. When I put the sequence on the main sequence it is just too long.

Usually the sequence length defaults to the actual length of the sequence. One gotcha that has gotten me a few times is a lone clip stuck some where further down the timeline that I can’t see. If that’s the case, delete the clip and the sequence should go back and default to the actual length.

Otherwise adjust your work area to the sequence length.
