  • Changing rolling emitter to pyrocluster

    Hi there,

    I’ve been trying to change the rolling emitter preset in R12 to spew out pyroclusters instead of the bump mapped spheres.

    There doesn’t seem to be an emitter as such, just a Particle Geometry. The bump mapped sphere is present in the object panel, but I can’t find where it is mapped to an emitter!

    Has anyone been through this process?

    Many thanks……

    If you click on the rolling emitter null and look in the attributes manager you’ll see the user data fields that are used to control it, including a “Shape” field that defines the object being emitted.

    To convert it to pyrocluster you would:

    1. clear the aforementioned shape field;
    2. create a pyrocluster volume shader;
    3. create a pyrocluster material;
    4. create an environment object;
    5. place the volume shader on the environment object;
    6. place the pyrocluster material on the TP Particle Geometry object.
