  • Changing Resolution In Source Monitor

Posted by Eric Nicastro on June 20, 2016 at 5:57 pm

I’m working on a project that is 1080p. I have some footage that is 4K. When I open a 4K clip from the sequence timeline in the source monitor (not from the bin), that clip is showing at full 4K resolution in a 1080p window. So I’m only seeing the 1080 center-cut of the image, not the full image. Is there way to fix this so I can see the full frame? The clip is scaled to 50% in the timeline.

That shouldn’t happen. Does the clip have any (master)effects on it? Is the source panel’s zoom setting other than fit?

The clip does not have any master effects on it. I’ve only applied color correction effects to the clip in the timeline. I’ve disabled those and even removed them completely and that doesn’t make a difference. As for the source panel’s zoom settings, changing it from fit to any other value makes no difference either.
