changing properties for multiple generated text media
I have a bunch of text events and I would like to give each one of them the same outline. There are too many events to go in to each individually, edit the generated media, add an outline, and make the color of it black. What is a good way to do this en masse?

Sorry but not that I’m aware of.
“Copy/Paste” will copy & paste everything which means the text as well 🙁
It’s too late now but, when you do this the next time, get the very first text event set up the way you want and then copy/paste it every time you need a new text event.
A box will come up after you paste the event giving you two options. Just click OK to choose the first one.
You’ll still need to change the text but the formatting will stay the same.It’s a bit of a workaround but what you could do is create a new videotrack above your titles, create the first text event the way you want, copy/paste it over top of the existing ones and then copy paste the text from the old events to the new ones.
Like I said, it’s a workaround but it’s better than having to re-type everything 🙂 -

Nope. None of the generated media parameters are available to the script API. It’s just a “black box”. All scripts can do is select presets. Unfortunately, presets include the text. 🙁
