I have a clip in the timeline that is 15 fps. How do I change the Timeline bar to read at 15 fps instead of 29.97?

    Final Cut Express HD 3.0
    Quicktime Version 7.0.3
    Mac OS X Version 10.4.3

You can’t. FCE is a format specific editing application. It only edits or DV or HDV at NSTC or PAL frame rates 29.97fps or 25fps.

    All the best,

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

I have a similar question. I am a novice Final Cut Express HD user. I am working on a project with HD footage (my easy setup is set at HDV-AIC 1080i60). I realized that I cannot nest my sequences into one longer sequence withou receiving this error: “Operation not allowed. You cannot nest sequences with different editing timebases.”

I checked the frame rate settings for each of my sequences and found that all of my imported HD footage is set at 29.97 fps, but that my text (subtitles) and some of my still images are set at 25 fps. Could this be causing the problem? If so, is there a way to go on in and change specific text/graphic clips from 25 to 29.97?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks very much!
