I am not sure if this is the right forum but let’s see.

My 2010 Macbook Pro Hard Drive is dead. Its in the shop and they say I need a new one. To extend the life and performance I am thinking of replacing the drive with an SSD and also replacing the Superdrive with a 7200 RPM Hard drive and using it for my editing needs.

I know my computer as it is is lacking for performance especially in the graphics card dept… 256MB i think.( i don’t have my other specs atm) .

But I believe putting an SSD in might get it performing a little better. Is this true?

Also, is it a good Idea to have an the superdrive replaced with a drive and use it for editing in Premiere? I can see how it might be an issue… but I thought I’d se here what you guys think.

    Anyway,

    Many thanks…

Super drive is your DVD hardware. MacBook pro only accomodates one hard drive. SSD is a good choice.
