  • Changing Movement of Text with Drift In Behavior in Motion 4

    Hi,

This is a basic issue but I can’t seem to find an answer.

I am working on a commercial in Apple’s Motion 4. At the end, I have the company’s logo with it’s two locations below, one address oriented to the left and one to the right.

I applied a behavior — Drift In to both text elements. I want to have the text move left to right on the left-aligned text and right to left on the right-aligned text.

In the Inspector, under the the Behaviors tab, I played with the Direction field. I put right to left for the right-aligned text but it is still moving left to right. Both text elements move left to right.

How do you track the text right to left with the Drift In behavior?

    Thanks,

    Mike

In the Inspector for this Behavior, open up the Format tab and change the X position to a positive value instead of the negative value which is the default.

A positive value makes the object move in from the right, a negative one makes it move in from the left.
