Final Cut Studio 3 upgrade software requires an Intel processor.

I have a PowerMac G5 with a PowerPC processor, and it refuses the upgrade.

Is this a fairly easy hardware replacement I can do on my own, or should I just replace the computer with a new MAC?

    Thanks.

You have to buy a newer Mac. No other way around that.
