changing form/shape of still
I have a still that I’d like to reshape into an oval. I can’t change the shape I can only crop it with hard angles. I don’t have photo shop can I do it in fcp.

The only ways I can think of to do that within FCP is with a Vignette effect or a Shape Generator used as a mask … I don’t recall whether FCP comes with a Vignette, but between purchased third-party plugin sets and free ones, I have probably 2-3 Vignettes on my system, but I’m not at my FCP system right now so I can’t look to see … try searching the web for some of the many free FCP plugins since a Vignette is a pretty basic effect that seems very likely to be in at least one free plugin set out there.
