changing file names
When I logged the first set of clips that I was capturing, I did not label the clips correctly. Now the original source video clips that are written to my drive are not named correctly. I would like to clean it all up and ensure that everything is linked properly.
How do I go about changing file names at this level?do I risk creating a mess and losing information?

If on FCP6, you simply right click on the clips in the browser and then choose Rename > File to Match Clip.
