Avid can switch it on import if needed…

But you’ll have other problems, like perhaps loosing metadata.

Why? Dvpal is always lower first…
and avid can invert the field in import preference..
Anyway, you can do this by importing your dv file in fcp loading every clip in the canvas apply a shift filter and batch export all clip from the browser with the effect applied.

The only lower field order PAL signal is DV regrettably. Your AVID friends are wrong.

He told me that changing field order on the import didn’t work in Avid. I don’t know Avid good, so I am not sure what is wrong. I guess I will just give him qt dvpal lower (standard) and let him figure out what to do.
