    somehow, the default pdf reader on my mac got changed to acrobat reader. does anyone know how i can change that back to preview?

    Sure. Highlight one of your .pdf docs’ file icon, choose “get info” and in the dialogue box that pops up there’ll be an area where you can set the default program that opens all your .pdf docs. About halfway down look for “open with”. Choose “Preview App.”from the pop up menu and then click the box below that that says “change all”. Done.
