changing day to night
hey everyone,
i have this video clip of some land and sky moving by in a car. this is what i want to do with it: it was originally shot at day, i want to keep it the way it was shot for a few seconds, then change just the sky color to a sunsetting color (purples, blues and oranges) and then transition to a dark blue starry night sky. i would also like to change the tint, brightness and contrast of just the land to match the time of day. i’ve seen something similar to this done in after effects before, but i’m just not sure ho to go about it! i tried keying out the background, but that didn’t work at all. there are lots of branchy trees on the land against the sky. hrmm, what to do… any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
