  • Changing contrast levels for blacks, mids and whites separately

I am coming from final cut where you can adjust the contrast levels for highlights, mids and shadows individually. I am sure you are able to do this with Avid but I can’t seem to work it out.
    Any help appreciated.

Which version of Avid are you using?

On Media Composer, I use the Curves tool in the color corrector. Select Master levels and create control points by clicking on the axis line to separate black, mid and high ranges. Then create more points on the in between and drag them around to move levels up or down. Just be sure you don’t let the black level creep up above the mid range levels, etc.
