    Hi All,

It has been decided that the project I’m working on will be output for direct transfer to DVD via pro-coder.
The current comp setting, however, is 640×480 square pix for an older media100. When I change over to DV 720×480 .9 pix aspect
I find that a lot of my placement of text etc. has not stretched with the rest of the comp. (eg, I had text placed just out of frame for a crawl and now it is visible inside the comp area)

Any nifty trick here, or am I resigned to a lot of tweaking?

    Thanks for any help.
    BB

Seeing as you are working in square pixels anyways, you are going to need to squish your graphics in one way or another before going to a non-square NLE. So I would finish your comp at 640X480 square, and the drop that comp into a 720X480 non-square comp and it should fit perfectly but look a little squished. It will look fine in the editing system however. When I work in square pixels, I work at 720X540 and squish it down to a non square 720X486.
    Good luck
    Matt
