I am new to Adobe Media Encoder and have a quick, basic question.

I use a Canon camera that records in the AVCHD codec and uses the .mts files. When going into Encoder, here is what I am doing:

    Add files to the que
    Go to settings and choose
    Format: Quick Time
    Preset: Custom
Video Codec: Apple Intermediate and click on codec settings and chose HDV 1080i

However, the quality and other settings under Basic Settings do not change. They remain at 720×480, high quality, lower first, DV aspect ration and frame rate at 29.97.

I am guessing that either there is an issue with encoder or I need to create a custom preset. Any help is greatly appreciated.
