  Changing clip’s speed is merging frames

  first I was editing a movie in premiere 6.5, and many clips in the timeline had their speeds changed, all of them increased, in most cases to 150% of the original speed. In 6.5 this was OK, but when I continued the project in the pro version, it started merging frames. At high speeds, the video gets blurry because of this.

  how can I set premiere pro to accelerate the clips like in 6.5, by only removing frames, and not merging them?
