  Changing Clips names. Will it cause any problems in telecine?

  If you change the clip name on the dailies in FCP, instead of making subclips like we normally do, will it have trouble finding the source clip when going into finishing?

  The subclips I created with the scene and take number are having trouble reconnecting back to the media. The error message I receive says “Unspecified path”. So since we’re in a time crunch, I thought I’d just go ahead and rename the original clips. I’m just worried that once we go into finishing, the raw files won’t have anything to match back to.

  Any ideas?
