changing clip names
I have been using final cut pro for years, but have just upgraded to 5, and am having the most frustrating, yet it has been so easy kind of problem, when I create a sub clip from a master clip and drop in the browser, I then change the name suitable to content, it changes the name of the master clip as well. Have tried various ways and it continues to do it for all clips created out of the 1. please help.

Describe the procedure you are using to make subclips. Everything is working fine here.
I mark an in and an out in the Viewer, then press cmd+U (or go to Modify/Make Subclip). I can change the name of the subclip without affecting the master clip.
