  • Changing background color for playback

Posted by Gregory Crane on July 15, 2009 at 9:39 pm

I am trying to change the background color of my video from black to white. I changed the color, and on each frame, the background is white, but when I playback, the background goes back to black.

I make films by layering still photos, hundreds, into the FCP timeline. I am a photoshop guy, pretty novice at FCP. Would appreciate help getting the background to change to white.
    Thanks
    Greg

Greg, I guess you could go to the Effect window and find Matte > Color, put that on video track 1, open the Matte Color in the Viewer (doubleclick it in the timeline), change the color to white; and then put all the picture in the video tracks above.
