Changing Audio Dynamics
This is probably something rather rudementary, but I want to ask anyway.
I am in the process of editing a live event (MMA Fight.) the problem is, my guys messed up in a big way and the audio is HORRIBLY blown out during entrance music segments.
What I’m doing to fix this is pull MP3’s of the Entrance Songs and overlay them over the original audio. But I don’t want them to sound canned. I would like to give them a Live feel to it.
I know on some of my audio software I can add Environmental Dynamics to a piece to make it sound like its in an arena or some other environment. Is this possible in Vegas, or do I need to take each clip and edit in other software then bring it in?

The way you describe the problem, I would say there is nothing you can do anymore. But if you still want to try, I believe that your best change is iZotope RX. At least you can try the trial version

There’s a tool in Sound Forge called Acoustic Mirror that uses something called Impulses (makes your recording sound like it was done with a different mic or done in a different location).
Sony has a large free download of a bunch of them and I’m sure that you could find something that would emulate the sound of the arena.Sound Forge

You can also add a reverb pluggin and set to sound like the size room you shot it in.
