April 6, 2012 at 1:39 amHi,
I have imported footage into final cut pro which is originally 1080/1920 but the final cut settings i had were 720/576.
I have changed the frame size in system settings to 1080/1920 but it wont let me change the aspect ratio and now my footage does not fit the screen. Can anyone help me with this?

August 26, 2015 at 11:43 pmThanks Tom, was about to throw my computer out of the window. Never noticed there was an anamorphic column and knew to check it. Thats what being self taught gets you I guess. Thanks for the help on an old thread.

June 3, 2016 at 6:28 pmHi using FCP i somehow changed the ratio of my captured material and now its showing up on the timeline in 4X3 instead of anamorphic (16 X9)
I can go to edit -format-and check anamorphic with each and every shot in the bins, but surely there is a way to change the default so they all show up on the timeline in the 16X9 format?
